LED display
An LED display is chosen on three criteria: the environment (indoor or outdoor), the viewing distance, which sets the pixel pitch, and the use (fixed installation, events, sport or studio). The Artixium range covers 7 families, from a 0.6 mm pixel pitch for control rooms and studios up to 10 mm for stadiums and facades.

LED display FAQ
Which pixel pitch should I choose for my LED display?
Pixel pitch is the distance between two LEDs, in millimetres. The smaller it is, the sharper the image of an LED display stays up close. A common rule of thumb: the minimum viewing distance, in metres, is roughly equal to the pitch in millimetres. Fine pitches, under 2 mm, suit meeting rooms, studios and retail; from 4 mm upwards, the target is stadiums, façades and large-format signage seen from afar.
What is the difference between an indoor and an outdoor LED display?
An outdoor LED display has to stay readable in direct sunlight and withstand rain and dust: it is brighter and carries a higher IP protection rating, as defined by the IEC 60529 standard. Indoors, the priority is a finer pitch and a brightness suited to close viewing. Ratings are explained in our guide Understanding IP ratings for LED screens.
Can you build a custom LED display?
Yes. Cabinet, pixel pitch, curve, angle, floor or ceiling mounting: we adapt the LED display to its use, from project design to installation. See our approach to custom LED displays.
Can we see the displays before choosing?
Yes, by appointment. Our 500 m² showroom in Vaulx-en-Velin, near Lyon, runs the indoor, outdoor and rental ranges lit side by side, which is the best way to compare a pixel pitch or a brightness figure.
What equipment do I need to run an LED display?
An LED display is driven by a sending card or box, connected to the receiving cards in the modules, and usually a video processor that handles sources and image scaling. This equipment is listed in our LED accessories, and our guide Choosing the right video processor helps you pick the right one.
Do you handle installation and after-sales service?
Yes. We support the installation and train your teams. After-sales service is based in France, with spare parts in stock and shipped fast. We deliver in France and internationally.
