Calcite 2 transparent LED display for shop windows
The Calcite 2 transparent LED display reaches up to 80% transparency. Each SMD LED is encapsulated with its driver, a patented process that leaves more space between the LEDs. It comes in P2.5, P3.9 and P6.2 pixel pitch and is installed indoors, for example behind a shop window.

Features
Patented Encapsulation
The Calcite 2 uses a patented encapsulation process that integrates each LED driver directly with its SMD LED. By combining these electronic elements within the same compact assembly, the technology significantly reduces the physical space occupied by the electronics across the transparent display surface. This architecture leaves more open space between the individual LED elements, improving visibility through the screen while maintaining the electronic functionality required to display high-quality visual content. The encapsulation technology therefore forms the technical foundation of the Calcite 2’s high-transparency LED film design.
High Transparency
The Calcite 2 transparent LED display achieves up to 80% transparency, allowing the architectural environment behind the LED display to remain clearly visible while digital content is displayed on the surface. This high transparency is particularly valuable for glass installations where preserving visibility, natural light and the original appearance of the space is an important requirement. Combined with its transparent mesh construction, the system allows digital communication to be incorporated into windows and glazed surfaces without creating the visual obstruction associated with a conventional opaque LED screen.
Holographic Render
The combination of high transparency and fine pixel pitch gives the Calcite 2 a distinctive visual effect when displaying three-dimensional content. Rather than appearing like imagery reproduced on a traditional opaque LED screen, 3D visuals can create a holographic-like rendering with pronounced perceived depth and excellent definition. This effect allows digital content to appear visually integrated with the surrounding environment visible through the transparent display. The result is particularly suited to installations where immersive visual presentation and the perception of depth are central to the intended experience.
Flexible Glass Installation
The Calcite 2 transparent LED display uses flexible rubber weaving that allows the LED film to follow different glass geometries. The structure can be adapted to both straight and curved glass surfaces, expanding its use beyond conventional flat-window installations.
Depending on the requirements of the project, the film can also be glued to either the front or the back of the glass, giving integrators greater freedom when determining how the transparent display should be incorporated into the existing architecture. This flexible mounting approach makes the system adaptable to a wide variety of glazed surfaces and customized indoor installations.
Customizable Dimensions
The Calcite 2 mesh can be cut both horizontally and vertically to adapt the transparent LED surface to the dimensions required by a specific installation. This allows the display format to follow the available glass area instead of forcing the project to conform to a predetermined rigid screen dimension.
Multiple sections can also be used to create seamless transparent displays up to 3 metres tall, extending the technology to larger architectural surfaces while preserving a continuous visual presentation. This dimensional flexibility is particularly useful for bespoke glazing, retail windows and other projects requiring precise integration into an existing
High Contrast
Despite having no conventional LED mask, the Calcite 2 maintains a high contrast ratio through the use of encapsulated Black Face LEDs. The dark LED surface helps strengthen contrast while preserving the transparency required by the display architecture. This configuration provides good visibility and clear definition for digital content even though the image is reproduced on a transparent surface rather than against an opaque background. The Black Face LED design therefore supports stronger image perception without eliminating the see-through characteristics that define the Calcite 2.
Semi-Indoor Visibility
The Calcite 2 transparent LED display is designed for indoor installation rather than direct outdoor exposure, but its brightness allows displayed content to remain visible from outside a building when the LED film is installed behind glazing.
This makes the system particularly suitable for shop windows, showcases and outward-facing glass surfaces, where digital content must attract viewers outside while the display itself remains protected indoors. The configuration combines indoor installation requirements with outward-facing visual communication, extending the practical use of the transparent LED film to commercial spaces that need to communicate through their existing glass façades.
