What does a sending card do?
The sending card, or sending box, takes the video signal from your source, a computer or a player, and passes it over network cable to the receiving cards fitted in the display modules. Of all LED display accessories, it is the one you cannot skip: without it, no image reaches the display.
Sending card or video processor: which one do I need?
A sending card is enough when a single source is shown at the display’s resolution. As soon as you need several sources, switching between them or image scaling, a video processor is the right choice; most of them include the sending outputs. What do control systems include?
This family of LED display accessories covers NovaStar Taurus multimedia players, which play scheduled content, typically for digital signage, and CVT fibre converters, which carry the signal over long distances between the control room and the display.
Which brands of LED display accessories do you offer?
NovaStar and Colorlight for sending cards, processors and players, Brompton Technology for high-end processors used in live events and virtual production, and Smode for the media server.
How do I size LED display accessories for my display?
It all starts with the display’s resolution, meaning its total number of pixels, and with your sources. Each network port on a sending card drives a limited number of pixels, around 650,000 for a Gigabit Ethernet port, so a large display needs several ports, or even several cards.
