Outdoor digital signage for smart urban communication
The Smart City is an outdoor digital signage display that is ready to install. It reaches 6,000 nits, connects over 4G and Wi-Fi, adjusts its brightness with a light sensor and cools itself with active ventilation. It mounts on existing light poles, for towns, retail areas or major roads.
Smart City
Features
High Brightness
The Smart City outdoor digital signage display reaches up to 6,000 nits of brightness, allowing digital content to remain clearly visible in demanding outdoor environments and direct daylight. Its Black Face SMD1515 LEDs also contribute to a high contrast ratio, helping produce deeper blacks, brighter highlights and more defined visual content across advertising and public-information applications.
An optional Full Black Face LED configuration is also available for projects requiring even stronger contrast and greater visual impact. This combination of high luminance and strong contrast makes the Smart City particularly well suited to urban DOOH installations where content must remain readable and visually engaging throughout the day.
Light Sensor
The Smart City integrates a built-in ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts screen brightness according to surrounding lighting conditions. This allows the display to increase luminance when exposed to strong daylight and reduce output when ambient light decreases, maintaining consistent readability without operating permanently at maximum brightness. By adapting output dynamically, the system helps optimize energy consumption while preserving visual performance, making the display better suited to continuous use in urban environments where lighting conditions change significantly between day, dusk and night.
Pole Integration
The Smart City outdoor digital signage display is designed for direct integration onto existing light poles and other urban support structures, reducing the need to introduce entirely new infrastructure into the surrounding environment. Its turnkey architecture allows municipalities and commercial operators to add digital advertising, public information and visual communication to established streetscapes with limited structural modification. This mounting approach is particularly relevant for municipal roads, commercial areas and other high-traffic urban locations, where maintaining a compact footprint and preserving the existing visual environment are important installation considerations.
Multiple Sizes
The Smart City is available in three display formats to address different urban communication requirements: 400 × 800 mm, 600 × 1200 mm and 1000 × 1800 mm. These different dimensions allow the visible display area to be selected according to the scale of the installation, viewing distance and available mounting space.
The smaller formats are suited to more compact street furniture and pole installations, while the larger configuration provides greater visual impact for locations requiring a more prominent DOOH presence. This size flexibility allows one product family to cover a wider range of municipal and commercial applications.
Double-Sided Display
The largest Smart City configuration can optionally be supplied as a double-sided LED display, allowing content to be viewed from two opposite directions. This significantly increases the usable communication surface in high-traffic areas such as streets, pedestrian zones and town squares, where audiences approach the display from multiple directions. By using both sides of the installation, operators can extend advertising visibility or distribute public information more effectively without adding a second independent structure. The double-sided option therefore increases the communication potential of the Smart City while retaining the same compact urban installation concept.
