Orion 2 transparent LED display for outdoor touring
The Orion 2 transparent LED display is built for outdoor touring and stage work. It leaves 40% transparency, reaches 5,000 nits and is rated IP65. A curving system is built into the cabinet, which is reinforced to handle repeated rigging and de-rigging.

Features
40% Transparency
The Orion 2 transparent LED display combines optimized shaders with a 40% transparency rate, creating an open LED surface designed for transparent rental applications. This configuration allows visual content to be displayed while preserving visibility through the cabinet structure, making the screen suitable for scenographic environments where lighting, stage elements or architectural features must remain partially visible behind the display.
The optimized shader arrangement forms part of the module design and maintains the transparent character of the screen across the assembled surface. This balance between content visibility and structural openness is one of the Orion 2’s principal technical differentiators.
High Mechanical Resistance
The Orion 2 has been tested for both compressive and tensile load resistance, with the cabinet withstanding forces of up to 1.8 tonnes before reaching its breaking point. This tested structural capacity is particularly relevant for rental LED equipment exposed to repeated transportation, suspension, installation and dismantling. The cabinet’s flexible masks provide an additional protective component around the display surface, helping the system tolerate the physical constraints associated with intensive professional use. This mechanical construction supports the long-term reliability required from transparent LED cabinets used throughout recurring outdoor events and touring productions.
Toolless Curving
An integrated toolless curving system allows adjacent Orion 2 cabinets to be positioned at angles of up to ±3 degrees, with customizable configurations available according to project requirements. Technicians can adjust the geometry of the display without introducing a separate tool-based curving process, simplifying the creation of concave or convex transparent LED surfaces. Specially designed hanging bars accommodate the selected cabinet angles, allowing the curving system to remain compatible with suspended installations. This integrated approach supports curved giant LED screens for concerts, scenographic productions and other applications requiring a shaped transparent display.
Back Maintenance
The Orion 2 transparent LED display provides tool-free maintenance from the rear of the display, with access available at cabinet, module and power-box level. This multi-level servicing architecture allows the technical intervention to be focused on the affected component rather than requiring unnecessary dismantling of the complete display.
The process is designed to be performed quickly by one qualified technician, helping reduce downtime during event preparation or live touring schedules. By centralizing maintenance behind the screen, the system also preserves the transparent display surface at the front while giving technicians a consistent service direction throughout the installation.
90 Degree Angles
The Orion 2 transparent LED display is available with a 90-degree configuration for projects requiring transparent LED content to continue across perpendicular surfaces. This option extends the system beyond conventional flat and gently curved installations, enabling the creation of right-angle stage structures and more complex scenographic geometries. The dedicated configuration allows designers to incorporate architectural corners into the LED display rather than treating each surface as an independent screen. It therefore expands the creative possibilities of the Orion 2 for productions requiring multidirectional visual content within the same transparent rental display system.
Corner Protection
The cabinet incorporates integrated corner protections around the areas most exposed during transportation and handling. These protective components help shield the edges of the cabinet when units are loaded, unloaded, positioned or removed from an installation. This feature is particularly important for a transparent rental LED display, as the cabinets may undergo frequent logistical cycles throughout their operating life. Keeping the protection attached directly to the cabinet ensures that it remains available during each stage of deployment without requiring technicians to install a separate accessory before handling the equipment.
Cabinet Locking
The Orion 2 uses a multi-point cabinet locking architecture incorporating a master kingpin, a primary cabinet locking system, a central bottom lock and a handle-integrated locking mechanism. These dedicated connection elements are distributed across different parts of the cabinet, providing defined fastening points when adjacent units are assembled into a complete transparent LED screen. Integrating the locking components into the cabinet structure creates a consistent connection method throughout repeated rental installations. The arrangement also keeps the principal fastening mechanisms permanently associated with each cabinet, reducing dependence on separate loose connection hardware during setup and dismantling.
T-Handle System
A dedicated T-handle assembly provides a free cable passageway while supporting the stacking system. The open passage gives power and data cables a defined route through the cabinet structure, helping prevent the connection area from being obstructed during installation. The same integrated element contributes to the cabinet’s stacking configuration, combining cable management and structural functionality within one technical component. This dual-purpose design is particularly useful for rental operations, where cabinets, connections and support elements must be organized efficiently whenever the transparent LED screen is assembled in a new venue.
