To pick the right LED screen for events, start with three questions: how long does the event last, where will the screen stand, and how far away will the audience be? Duration points to a screen that sets up fast or one built for touring. The venue sets brightness and IP rating. Viewing distance gives the pixel pitch.
What Does the Event Need?
Duration and format come first. For a one-night event, fast set-up and take-down matter most. For a tour, you need sturdy, modular screens that are easy to transport and can take many set-ups.
LED Screen for Events: Which Technical Constraints?
The venue changes everything. Outdoors, the IP rating protects the screen from rain and dust. In daylight you need high brightness. Indoors or at night, a screen that can be dimmed without losing quality works better.
The distance between audience and screen gives the pixel pitch: fine for close viewing at a trade show or conference, wider for a distant crowd at a concert or festival.
Does the Stage Design Need a Special Screen?
Some projects go beyond the classic video wall. A transparent screen lets the audience see the stage through the image. An LED floor such as Opal puts people at the centre of the set. These choices are made early, because they affect the structure and the set-up time.
Which Artixium Screens for Which Event?
A few Artixium screens used at events:
Orion 2 went on the road with Polo & Pan for their 2025 tour. Sturdy and modular, it is built for shows that are set up and taken down every night.
Beryl P1.9 was used at AMWC Monaco with ABG Lab. Its fine resolution suits high-end events, and its brightness suits booths lit by daylight.
Manganite targets European trade shows. Compatible with Aluvision and BeMatrix stand systems, it fits into modular structures and cuts installation time.
Where Should You Start?
A concert, a trade show and a booth do not need the same thing. Write down the duration, venue, light and audience distance, then compare screens on those points rather than on a single datasheet.

Frequently asked questions
Which pixel pitch for an event screen?
It depends on audience distance. The closer the audience, the finer the pixel pitch should be. Trade shows and conferences call for fine values, while a concert seen from afar can use a wider pitch that costs less. Our rental LED panels cover both cases.
How bright should an outdoor event screen be?
High brightness is essential in daylight, especially in direct sun. At night or indoors, the screen must be able to go low so it does not dazzle. Check both values on the datasheet.
Can an event screen handle rain?
That depends on its IP rating. For an outdoor event, choose a screen designed for open-air use, protected at the front and the rear.
Does Artixium rent out screens?
No. Artixium designs and sells LED screens, including to event rental companies. To rent a screen, contact one of those companies.
What is pixel pitch?
It is the distance between the centres of two neighbouring pixels, in millimetres. Wikipedia describes how an LED display works.
