LED Screen Virtual Production: A Studio Dedicated to XR
NeoSet recently launched NEO.B4, a new extended reality studio located at the Studios de Bry-sur-Marne in France. Designed for modern audiovisual productions, the studio allows filmmakers to create immersive virtual environments directly on set.
For this installation, Artixium supplied an LED display solution based on the Beryl XR 2.6. The goal was to provide a reliable and high-performance LED volume adapted to virtual production workflows.
With this technology, productions such as films, commercials or music videos can be filmed while digital environments are displayed in real time on the LED walls.
NEO.B4 was designed to support the growing demand for virtual production. Instead of using traditional green screens, the studio uses LED walls to display digital environments directly during filming.
An LED Wall and Ceiling Volume
This approach allows directors, actors and technicians to see the final environment on set. As a result, lighting and reflections become more realistic.
The studio features a large LED wall combined with a ceiling LED structure. This immersive configuration helps create dynamic virtual scenes while maintaining full control of the production environment.
Beryl XR 2.6: a solution adapted to XR studios
For this project, Artixium installed the Beryl XR 2.6 LED solution, designed specifically for extended reality and virtual production.
The 2.6 mm pixel pitch ensures high image precision, even when cameras are positioned close to the LED wall. This is essential for XR studios where the screen becomes part of the final image.
The panels also provide a high refresh rate, which prevents flickering during filming with professional cameras.
Thanks to these technical features, the Beryl XR 2.6 offers the stability and visual quality required for demanding virtual production environments such as the NEO.B4 studio.

The LED Screen Virtual Production Volume in Detail
The LED screen virtual production project for NEO.B4, NeoSet’s extended reality studio at the Studios de Bry-sur-Marne, represents 124 m² of Beryl XR 2.6 LED surface dedicated to films, commercials and music videos.
A wall and a ceiling. The volume combines a large LED wall with an LED ceiling structure. Together they surround the set with the virtual environment and provide realistic light and reflections from above.
Precision at close range. The 2.6 mm pixel pitch keeps the image precise even when cameras move close to the wall, which is essential when the screen becomes part of the final shot.
No flicker on camera. A high refresh rate prevents flickering with professional cameras, giving productions the stability they need on demanding shoots.
Why Choose LED Screens for Virtual Production?
LED volumes are replacing green screens in many productions. Directors, actors and technicians see the final environment on set, lighting and reflections are captured naturally, and post-production work is reduced.
An LED ceiling adds even more realism: it lights actors and vehicles from above with the colours of the virtual scene. To work on camera, every cabinet must be calibrated, synchronised and free of flicker, as in this LED screen virtual production studio. NeoSet also installed Artixium’s Beryl XR at the Telomedia platform of the University of Toulon.
