LED Screen Studio XR: Beryl XR Powers the XR Summits Virtual Studio
For this new edition of XR Summits, Artixium had the pleasure of collaborating on the creation of an 8 x 4 meter virtual studio, equipped with our Beryl XR P2.6 technology, specifically designed for XR production environments and extended reality. This ambitious project demonstrated the performance and reliability of our LED screens in a demanding professional setting.
The Beryl XR cabinets used for this installation integrate Brompton Technology receiving cards, recognized in the industry for their advanced image processing. One of Beryl XR’s major assets lies in its 7860 Hz refresh rate coupled with a 1/8 scan rate, offering perfect fluidity and extremely precise visual rendering.

The LED Screen Studio XR Set-Up in Detail
The LED screen studio XR project for XR Summits 2023, in Kuala Lumpur, took the form of an 8 × 4 metre virtual studio, a 32 m² LED volume designed for extended reality and virtual production.
Beryl XR P2.6 cabinets. The studio was built with Beryl XR P2.6, a technology developed specifically for XR production environments, where the screen must look perfect both to the eye and to the camera.
Brompton image processing. The cabinets integrate Brompton Technology receiving cards, recognised in the industry for their advanced image processing.
7,860 Hz refresh rate. A 7,860 Hz refresh rate combined with a 1/8 scan rate delivers perfectly smooth, extremely precise rendering, without flicker on camera.
Why Choose an LED Screen for an XR or Virtual Production Studio?
In virtual production, the LED wall replaces the green screen. Actors and presenters are filmed in front of a real-time 3D environment, with natural reflections and lighting, and the final image is visible directly on set.
This requires LED screens built for cameras: high refresh rates, precise colour calibration, fine pixel pitch and processing able to synchronise with tracking systems and media servers. These are the requirements met by this LED screen studio XR installation.
