The LED Screen Portal Dublin Project in Detail
The LED screen portal Dublin project turned a spot on O’Connell Street into a window onto the world. Connected in real time to other Portals, including the one in New York, it lets passers-by meet and interact with people on the other side of the planet.
A human-scale screen. The 4 m² LED screen shows people at life size, making the exchange natural, spontaneous and captivating, as if both cities shared the same street.
A fine P1.9 pixel pitch. Artixium supplied the IRIDIUM P1.9 screen for its ability to reproduce remarkably sharp images, essential for faces and expressions viewed at close range.
Built for permanent outdoor use. Designed to withstand continuous outdoor exposure, the screen guarantees reliability, fluid images and visual impact day and night.
Why Choose an Outdoor Fine-Pitch LED Screen for Public Art?
Public art installations and interactive displays are viewed from very close, by people walking past. A fine pixel pitch keeps faces and details sharp at a distance of a few metres, where a standard outdoor screen would look pixelated.
