Boron 2 XR LED wall with extreme curves for immersive XR
The Boron 2 XR LED wall is a flexible screen that completes our extended reality range. Its cabinets curve up to ±45°, inwards or outwards, for XR environments that wrap around the set. It comes in P1.9 and P2.6 and combines with Beryl XR for custom virtual production stages.

Features
Modular Curving System
The Boron 2 XR LED wall has a highly flexible articulated module architecture designed specifically for curved extended reality environments. Each 500 × 500 mm cabinet incorporates four horizontal articulated modules, allowing the LED surface to follow pronounced concave or convex geometries instead of remaining limited to a rigid flat plane.
Curvature is controlled through an integrated toolless adjustment system built directly into the cabinet, with predefined positions extending up to ±45° inward or outward. This exceptionally wide adjustment range enables cylindrical screens, wrap-around LED walls and other immersive configurations that can surround performers and camera positions more naturally. For XR and virtual production studios, this flexibility provides greater freedom when designing LED volumes around the geometry of the shooting environment.
MiniLED 4-in-1
The Boron 2 XR LED wall is available in P1.9 and P2.6 configurations using MiniLED 4-in-1 technology, providing the fine pixel density required for professional XR and virtual production applications. By integrating four LEDs within a compact package, MiniLED 4-in-1 supports high-definition image reproduction and vivid color rendering while maintaining a fine display surface suitable for camera-facing environments.
The P1.9 version reaches a pixel density of 262,144 pixels/m², while the P2.6 configuration provides 147,456 pixels/m², allowing the display specification to be adapted according to viewing distance, camera framing and required resolution. This combination of fine pitch and compact LED packaging helps the Boron 2 XR deliver detailed digital environments across immersive production sets.
7680 Hz Refresh Rate
The Boron 2 XR LED wall operates at a 7,680 Hz refresh rate, a key performance characteristic for LED displays intended to be filmed directly by professional cameras. A high refresh rate helps the screen maintain stable visual reproduction during camera capture and supports smoother synchronization between the displayed content and the production system.
This is particularly important in XR environments, where the LED wall becomes part of the final recorded image rather than serving only as a background visible to the audience. Combined with 16-bit grayscale, 16-bit brightness control and 16-bit processing depth, the display architecture is designed to provide consistent image reproduction for demanding virtual production workflows.
Beryl XR Compatibility
The Boron 2 XR is fully compatible with the Beryl XR, allowing both cabinet systems to be combined within the same virtual production environment. This interoperability gives studio designers greater freedom to use the Boron 2 XR where pronounced curvature is required while integrating Beryl XR cabinets into other sections of the LED volume.
Rather than operating as two isolated product platforms, the systems can therefore contribute to a shared XR installation architecture tailored to the geometry and technical requirements of each studio. This compatibility is especially valuable for production environments requiring a combination of flat and highly curved LED surfaces without introducing an entirely separate cabinet ecosystem.
Back Maintenance
The Boron 2 XR is designed with rear maintenance access, allowing technicians to service the cabinet from behind the installed LED surface. This architecture provides direct access to the internal components while keeping the front display surface undisturbed during technical interventions.
Rear servicing is particularly appropriate for virtual production studios where the LED wall is installed with dedicated technical access behind the volume and where maintenance operations must remain separated from the camera-facing side of the set. The system therefore supports a structured servicing workflow suited to permanent or semi-permanent XR environments where reliable technical access is incorporated into the studio infrastructure.
Corner Protection
The Boron 2 XR incorporates integrated corner protection to help safeguard the cabinet during transportation, installation and repeated handling. The corners of fine-pitch rental LED equipment are particularly exposed when cabinets are moved, assembled or dismantled, and accidental impacts can affect both the cabinet structure and the LED surface. Dedicated protection around these vulnerable areas helps preserve the physical integrity of the display throughout recurring production cycles. This feature is especially relevant for XR rental inventories and temporary virtual production sets, where cabinets may undergo frequent logistical operations between different studios and configurations.
