Outdoor LED display

An outdoor LED display must stay readable in full sunlight and withstand the weather: high brightness, weatherproof cabinets and a pixel pitch chosen for the viewing distance. Artixium offers models for building facades, DOOH advertising and public spaces.

Our outdoor LED display models

Facades, DOOH, retail or signage: our outdoor LED displays are chosen by viewing distance, sun exposure and size. Compare the ranges below, then our team fine-tunes pixel pitch, brightness and structure.

How to choose an outdoor LED display?

Four criteria decide the right outdoor display: sun exposure, viewing distance, site climate and maintenance access.

Brightness for the exposure

Full sun, shaded facade or mostly night-time display: exposure sets the brightness you need. Artixium models reach up to 10,000 nits, with automatic dimming at night to avoid glare.

Protection rating for the climate

Rain, dust, humidity, temperature swings: check the model’s IP rating. Depending on the model and project, protection goes up to IP66 or IP68.

Pixel pitch for the viewing distance

Simple rule: the minimum viewing distance in metres roughly equals the pixel pitch in millimetres. A screen seen from 10 m can work with a pitch around 10 mm; a facade seen up close needs a finer pitch.

Maintenance access

A display flush against a wall is serviced from the front; a display on a structure can open from the rear. The access method is chosen during the study, based on the structure, available space and site constraints.

Outdoor LED display FAQ

An outdoor LED display is a self-emissive screen engineered for exterior use: high brightness for daylight readability, a weatherproof (IP-rated) enclosure, and components rated for permanent installation on facades, buildings and public spaces.

Direct-sunlight installations typically need 5,000-7,500 nits or more, while shaded or north-facing positions can use less. Artixium sizes brightness to the exact orientation and environment of each project.

Yes. Our outdoor cabinets carry outdoor IP ratings (front and rear) so they withstand rain, humidity, dust and temperature swings for reliable year-round operation.

Pixel pitch follows viewing distance: larger pitches suit long-range facades and roadside signage, finer pitches suit close-up architectural and retail displays. Our team recommends the right pitch for your audience and distance.

Yes. Artixium engineers custom sizes, shapes and structures — flat, curved or bespoke — to integrate with the architecture and the constraints of the site.

Built for permanent professional installations, our outdoor displays are designed for long service life and backed by up to a 5-year warranty and after-sales support in France.
