LED Screen University: Panthéon-Assas Unveils an 800 m² Display

Panthéon-Assas University, often described as France’s best law school, is a prestigious public university located in Paris. A direct heir to the Sorbonne’s law and economics faculty, it hosts nearly 18,000 students each year, including 3,000 international students.

Its neoclassical architecture, a testament to Greco-Roman knowledge, elegantly contrasts with the modern elements and technology integrated into its interior spaces. This subtle blend of tradition and innovation makes Panthéon-Assas an iconic place of learning and reflection.

In the central entrance hall, an LED screen by Artixium has been installed, becoming a visual and artistic component of daily life for more than 10,000 students. This screen, designed to harmoniously integrate with the building’s architecture, displays dynamic shapes and vibrant colors every day.

An 800 m² Screen Among Europe’s Largest

In one of the main corridors, another major project came to life: the installation of an 800 m² fixed LED screen, composed of 690 Lithium (a range since succeeded by Granite) cabinets. It is one of the largest LED screens in Europe. For this custom project, the Lithium P40 model was developed in a specific format, adapted to the technical and aesthetic constraints of the site.

Through this type of achievement, Artixium demonstrates its ability to offer large-format LED solutions, capable of enhancing historic spaces while highlighting their contemporary dimension. A perfect fusion between architectural heritage and technological innovation.

The LED Screen University Project in Detail

This LED screen university project brought large-format digital display into one of France’s most prestigious law schools, where neoclassical architecture meets modern technology.

An 800 m² screen among Europe’s largest. In one of the main corridors, Artixium installed an 800 m² fixed LED screen made of 690 Lithium cabinets, one of the largest LED screens in Europe.

A custom P40 format. The Lithium P40 model was developed in a specific format for the project, to meet the technical and aesthetic constraints of a historic building.

An everyday visual experience. In the central entrance hall, another Artixium LED screen displays dynamic shapes and vibrant colours every day, becoming part of the daily life of more than 10,000 students.

Why Choose an LED Screen for a University?

A university welcomes thousands of students, teachers and visitors every day. An LED screen in its halls and corridors becomes a powerful communication tool: campus news, events, timetables, institutional messages or artistic content can be displayed on a large scale.

In historic buildings, integration is as important as image quality. Custom cabinet formats, a design adapted to the architecture and a pixel pitch chosen for the viewing distance allow the screen to enhance heritage spaces rather than compete with them, as in this LED screen university installation.

The Lithium range has since been succeeded by Granite, and Artixium also develops custom LED displays for unique spaces. Discover our LED displays for public spaces, contact our team, or visit the Panthéon-Assas University website.
