Telomedia – Toulon University
Toulon, France
Artixium is proud to announce the completion of a major project for the University of Toulon, in collaboration with Neoset, virtual studio operator and virtual production specialist. The university has acquired a 15m2 LED wall, an installation that marks a decisive step in its development towards immersive audiovisual production.

The LED wall installed at the University of Toulon is based on Artixium's Beryl XR P2.6 technology. With dimensions of 5m x 3m (W x H) and a brightness of 2000 NITS, this screen is designed specifically for the demanding needs of virtual production (VP) and XR. It incorporates the Brompton system and operates with a 1/8 scan, guaranteeing optimum performance for high-quality visual rendering.

This new equipment, inaugurated on January 17, 2025, will enhance the 370 m2 of green space at the Université de Toulon's Telomedia platform. It will enable the creation of immersive content in real-time 3D, a technology increasingly used in the film industry. Productions such as The Mandalorian, The Irishman and Joker have already adopted these techniques, and the virtual production market continues to show rapid growth, estimated at 20% by 2030.
The project is more than just a technology acquisition: it aims to connect the film industry with students and researchers, giving them direct access to the most advanced tools and methods in the sector. The LED screen will also facilitate new partnerships with film schools and structures such as Arte Incubation.

The installation was carried out by Neoset, international experts in LED walls for cinema and virtual production. This collaboration testifies to Artixium's ability to meet the demands of modern studios and offer top-level technological solutions.

The initiative was 80% funded by the Var department, underlining the importance of this project for the regional development of audiovisual production and university research.
The inauguration took place in the presence of Xavier Leroux, President of the University of Toulon, Jean-Louis Masson, President of the Var Departmental Council, Laetitia Quilici, VP of the Var Departmental Council, Karim Adouane, VP Digital Innovation at UTLN, as well as Renaud Dumon, producer and director at Studios du Sud, and Jérémie Tondowski, President of Neoset.

With this project, Artixium confirms its commitment to virtual production and XR by offering innovative, high-performance LED solutions. This screen is a concrete example of the evolution of the audiovisual industry and the growing importance of immersive technologies in training and film production.
